The weather in Sidmouth has been truly fantastic and the town really is in bloom. The grass is a lustrous green and the sea a wonderfully clear turquoise blue, the Byes has become a tranquil oasis full of wildlife from chirping birds to families of ducks and even a busy Otter taking up residency! Sidmouth In Bloom are currently planting out the sunken beds in Connaught Gardens, while observing social distancing. The town is beginning to cautiously come to life again with the reopening of golf & tennis clubs, fish & chip shops as well as one or two other takeaways, it’s even possible to get an ice cream on the beach if you don’t mind a substantial socially distanced queue!
And we're open!!!!
We have been following government advice closely and we have implemented new processes to ensure the safety of our guests.
We have adhered to social distancing and have fitted a number of automatic wall hand sanitising stations throughout the hotel. All tables have their own antibacterial station and all staff have the necessary PPE. We have enhanced our fabulous cleaning processes and are keeping a close watch on personal hygiene ensuring all areas are fully sanitised after every guest. We have had to limit the lounge to a maximum of 8 people at a time but have additional seating on the terrace and garden. We have introduced set timings for breakfast and dinner to ensure people are kept at a safe distance and times will be allocated to you at arrival.
We are confident of a return to a ‘new normal’. As both a business and a family we have, as I’m sure you can appreciate, gone through a worrying and difficult time and we are now able to look forward with optimism.
The garden is looking great and yes, we did get the fountain working!
Thank you again for your continued support and we hope to see you all very soon.
